Progress through goals can be made visible to parents.
First you school must select 'Progressions based' setting in the 'Progress Reporting style' options. This can be found on the School Options page. To navigate to this go to Admin tools> Menu> School options> Progress Reporting style> Progress based
To view the settings available for showing goals progressions information to parents, go to Admin tools> Menu> What can parents see?> Goals
Once you have made your setting choices, parents will be able to view how far through each level of the curriculum their child has progressed, what the expectation is and what their child's next steps are.
Information will only display for subjects where data has been entered.
Example of a Curriculum Progressions homepage:
If your school chooses to turn on the 'Show progress charts to parents on student home pages' setting, a graph will display progress overtime in each curriculum area.
These graphs will only show if:
1. The goals are levelled.
2. The progressions checkbox has been ticked for the subject (Admin tools> Menu> Goals> Plus button next to list of subjects)
If your school chooses to turn on the 'Make student goals visible to parents' setting, parents will be able to see the goals their child is currently working on.
If your school chooses to turn on the 'Show evidence attached to student goals to parents' setting, parents will be able to see an eye symbol indicating there is evidence to view for the goal
If your school chooses to turn on the '' setting, parents will be able to see a list of up to five recently completed goals in the subject area
Subject areas will only display where students have goals marked as current or completed. This means your school can, for example, add information to the English Language Learning Progressions (ELLP) goals for your new English Language Learners and only these students will have progressions show under the ELLP headings.
