To set goals for students' next steps, teachers are able to select from preloaded lists which are sorted into categories. In the Admin section of LINC-ED, schools can reorganise lists of goals or create their own lists. They can also edit, add and delete goals from these lists.

5. Select a Sub category

6. Select a Goal.
To edit a goal: Click Edit, make your changes to the wording or slider then click Save.
To delete a goal: Click Delete and when you are sure you want the goal removed click Yes delete it!
To add a new goal: Click the green + icon at the bottom of the list. Add the teacher wording for the goal. Add the parent/child wording for the goal (this box must have content even if it is identical to the teacher wording). Slide the slider to select the level the goal relates to (optional) then click Save.
To move goals from one sub category to another: Click on the goal and drag it onto the sub category you want it to appear in.

Once categories of goals are ready for use
Goals can be turned on in the Pages area of the site. Go to:
Admin tools> Menu> Pages> Student pages> Select a page> Enable goals on this page> Yes and then select the categories you wish to display
CAUTION Goals are presented 'live' on students' pages. This means that once goals have been selected for students, any changes made to goals in the admin section will immediately be visible on student pages. Therefore, if you wish to significantly change the wording of a goal it may be best to create a new goal rather than edit an existing one.
It is also recommended that your school limits the number of people with access to editing goals so that the bank of goals is kept to a manageable size and the creating of similar goals is avoided.
