Please note: The functions for uploading were extended and altered in August 2017. This article explains the newer functionality.
Select the Admin button --> Menu--> Assessment Uploads.
Prepare you csv files. You will see a selection of buttons that (when clicked) will show you examples of how your data should be structured). Each student should have one row with all the data for a test on a date, so if there are multiple results for a student on different dates, these should be on a new row.
Files that have come from eAsTTle or NZCER should be uploaded without modification (do not open these files before uploading as this can cause problems with the file type).
Browse for your file and click upload.
No data has been saved yet!
You will see a table with your data included and above this a drop down menu from which to select the type of test. e.g. PATs, eAsTTle Writing etc.. (these are pulled directly from your system and the test that you have available so if the one you need is missing you will need to add this first (Find out how)
Now you can select the test elements from the drop-downs at the top of each column e.g. Stanine, Overall Level etc..
Once you have made your selections the data will be matched for you. Students will be matched by NSN, the data column will reformat the date correctly and the results will be auto matched. Any unmatched data will show in red. Use the dropdown menus to fix the unmatched data where possible.
At the foot of the table you will see a 'Save' button. You can use this now and you will be presented with a new table confirming the data that was entered.
Csv files can be re-uploaded as many times as you like. If the data already exists in the system, it will not be added or updated.
