Viewing Statements Online
In order for statements to be viewed online a Caregiver Account must exist to enable that parent to log into their LINC-ED account. By default the ability to see Financials is turned off when Caregiver Accounts are created.
When you are ready for parents to view finances:
1. Send a helpdesk request to LINC-ED and request to have your 'Show Invoice' flags set to 'Yes' in bulk. This process will turn on the Show Invoice flags for all Parent Accounts where the Bill Payer flag is set to 'Yes'.
2. Go into your Finance Options (under the Admin Tools > Menu) and change the 'When creating new caregiver accounts ....' slider to 'Yes', so that all new Caregiver Accounts will get turned on automatically if their Bill Payer flag is set to 'Yes'.
3. Manually adjust any exceptions i.e. you may have a Second Contact of a split family who you do not want to allow viewing rights to.
To Manually adjust the Show Invoices slider
1.Find the student and click on the i icon to take you to their basic information.
2.Click on the Contact tab of any contact that has a Parent Account in existence. You will know it exists by the existence of the Email Tracking button at the top of the screen.
3.Click on View the account associated with this address.
4.Click on User Options.
5.Click on the Show Invoices slider to change.
What Parents Can See
When financial account viewing is turned on for parents via their online log in, there will be a Finance button at the top of the screen. Here is a snapshot of what they will see when they click this button.
As for financial controllers, they will be presented with a full statement of accounts but can click on the 2017 only, or Overdue buttons to give them a summarised view. Clicking on the blue value in the credit column will show them all their payments. From here parents are now able to pay their accounts.
NB: Parents cannot see Voided or Fully Written Off invoices.
