There are a variety of icons, ribbons, flags and alerts available on LINC-ED to help staff gather information quickly.
Student profiles have a banner across the top right of the page indicating the student's gender and year level. This information is generated from the student's basic information page. The colour of gender banners is selected by the school's senior leaders.
Some students have ribbons below their profile image. These indicate the student is a target student in Maths, Reading or Writing and is being closely monitored. To learn more about these enter 'Flags for target students' into the Help menu.
Icons indicate a student has had a post entered in a particular area of LINC-ED. The icon key sits above the student profiles. Each school selects which areas they wish to have icons for and what the symbols will be. Icons remain visible for 18 months but fade over time. Adding a new comment on the page will make the symbol appear bold again.
Schools have the option of showing national flags above the profile images on the group home page. Here you can see at a glance the nationalities within the group.
Some students have a red padlock or red cross on the side of their profile. This indicates there is parental access information or medical information on file for the student. A single click on the student's profile image will show the information.
International Foreign Fee-paying students
The blue and white globe icon to the side of a student's profile shows at a glance they are a foreign fee-paying student.
